Sitting in his car to keep warm while waiting for the Derry police and a tow to arrive, Jerii Mohamed say's of his near crash into a pole, "This is a gift from God." On the way back to his home in Quincy, from having visited friends in Derry, Mohamed was traveling southbound on Rte. 28 in Derry when his car went into a spin and ended up sliding across two lanes and into a gully on the opposite side of the road. Expressing gratitude, Mohamed recalls having come close to hitting the telephone poll and feels thankful that he wasn't hurt. "You can replace the car, but not the life," he says adding," I am very thankful it did not turn out worse, this is an early Chrismas present."
