Andover High School field hockey team received a rare visit from an Olympian on Friday. Carrie Lingo, STX Athlete and former US Olympic Athlete visited the team to lead a field hockey clinic. Andover won this visit and clinic with Carrie through a competition with global sporting goods leader STX. Andover High junior and field hockey player, Briana Smith entered the contest and won it for her team. Carrie Lingo played field hockey for the USA Women’s National Team for 14 years and was a member of the 2008 USA Olympic Team in Beijing, China. In 2009, Lingo was awarded the USA Field Hockey Player of the Year. Lingo has competed in 191 international competitions throughout her career.
