Hidden in Plain Sight is an interactive training that teaches parents signs of hidden substance abuse. Open to adults only, the program uses a recreated bedroom of a typical teenager to test parents' knowledge of common items that can be substance abuse warnings.

Andover’s Community Support Coordinator Sobhan Namvar, LICSW, Andover Public Schools Health Program Coordinator Brian McNally, MEd, and Social Worker Program Coordinator Joe Yarid, LICSW, spoke about resources available to families and suggestions for candid dialogue between parents and teens/young adults. Parents will be walking through a recreated bedroom containing hidden substances and then participate in a discussion with hosts from Andover Police, Andover Public Schools, and the church. 1/19/2017.
