This year, the annual student-teacher race has been renamed in honor of the late Wally Roberts, who passed away on October 18. A popular gym teacher and track coach for 23 years at Pinkerton, Roberts was named Coach of the Year and inducted into the Track and Field Coaches Hall of Fame in 2012, the year he retired. 11/1/13
