DERRY NEWS: South Range Elementary School student teacher, Elizabeth Cooney holds the book open for first grader, Anna Lawrence, right, and third grader, Loralei Wales as they create their own drawings of the trees after the story was read to them. Miss Cooney is majoring in special education at Southern New Hampshire University. Students and families enjoyed "Get into a Book" night last Wednesday at the South Range Elementary School. Teachers read the story and talk about the pictures in the book and then the students did drawings based on that story. Families also got helpful information on how to keep kids interested in reading. 11/20/2013.
