Read MoreThe Haverhill High School Class of 1942, the first graduating class at the beginning World War II, held its 70th Reunion at the Haverhill Golf and Country Club on June 20. After dinner, the classmates met at the country club ballroom for a night of entertainment. Melba Pallete handled the entertainment. Music was provided by class guitarist Bill Cronk, who performed World War II songs and several hit tunes that he wrote. He was joined by his wife, Ann Cronk, who has appeared as a lead singer in
New York' Broadway musicals.The class's comedians - Ginny Hamel, Fred Clark and Ken Killilea - had the their schoolmates in hysterics. Reunion Chairman John Katsaros reminded the attendees that beginning in 1947, the class held a well-attended reunion every five years. The classmates voted to meet for lunch or dinner twice a year.
