Lawrence Mayor Kendra Vasquez, left, presents a proclamation from the city to Denise Murray's sister Sweet Pea Murray during a ceremony to dedicate the Lowell Street Community Garden to Denise Murray of Lawrence who passed away suddenly in January. The gardens are located at Lowell and Margin Streets not far from where Denise Murray's son Timothy Walker was murdered. Murray dedicated her life to peace and helping others and was beloved by many in Lawrence for her efforts and outreach. 2/11/21
