Out going Lawrence mayor, Daniel Rivera and city council president, now incoming mayor, Kendrys Vasquez, held a brief transition of power ceremony that mark the end of Rivera's administration on Friday, January 8. Mayor Rivera then greeted and bid farewell to people waiting outside of city hall.
That evening, incoming mayor, Kendrys Vasquez was sworn in by acting city clerk, Richard Reyes during a brief ceremony in the North Common Education Complex, formerly Lawrence high school. 1/08/2021
