For the first time since the pandemic started, Lawrence firefighters hosted their annual firefighters' Memorial Sunday mass. on June 12, at the Lowell Street headquarters. The Lawrence Fire Dept. honored 17 retired firefighters who have passed away since 2019 with a mass celebrated by Rev. Chris Casey, Pastor of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Methuen and Lawrence fire chaplain and the ringing of the fire bell in front of the firefighters monument. Lawrence firefighter Ronnie Lavallee was master of ceremonies. Lawrence Fire Chief Brian Moriarty, Lawrence fire captain Eric Zahn and retired fire captain, Leo Boutin were readers during the mass. 6/12/2022
